Sam was doing well in his career, but even though he had a high salary, he also had long work hours and work that never seemed to stop. He realized that if he was going to be pouring all that time and effort into something, it should be for his own business. He also realized that his career would not end up creating long term wealth or happiness for him (a feeling many entrepreneurs share!).
